Off Shots of Labouchere
If you have taken the time to really study this system, you'd see by now how many spin offs there are. A previous chapter started with a triple line of:
1 1 1
1 1 2
1 1 1
In Vegas, Reno, Tahoe, or any casino that allows small minimum wagers, you could classify each of those numbers as dollars and thereby have a starting outlay of chips that fall within the Session money of most players.
Or, you could classify each of those numbers as five dollar chips, but be sure to have a limit set on the total number of units that you will risk. For instance, if $35 is your max, then 7 units is as high as you go. If $50 is your max, then you may make no higher than a 10 unit bet, either as a single wager or combination of bets.
A little known fact is the one that most Roulette players fall victim to. They don't realize that they can designate the value of the chips they get to play with. You can make those chips any amount you desire.
If you buy in at a table and place money on the felt, it is your option to make those chips the value you want.
Suppose you start with $200. You could ask for $2 chips and the dealer would give you 100 chips of a certain color and then place a like color chip around the lip of the wheel to indicate that these chips are worth $2.
Each unit is worth $2 and naturally you are the only one who can use that color chip at that table. When you decide to wrap up the Session, you must cash in at that table, as those chips would have absolutely no value at any other table.
If you want to make your chip value $1, $5 or $10, you just so indicate your choice when you buy in. Most people don't realize the enormous amount of off shoots there are to a system, based on the value of your chips. I elaborated previously about betting off amounts, by mixing dollar chips with five dollar chips and five dollar chips with twenty five dollar chips, etc. The more variations that are available, the better chance you have of coming up with multiple betting situations.
Many people tell me they are scared to bet these offamounts, cause it might draw attention to them. The same is true when it comes to buying in at a Roulette table and asking for a designated value on the chips.
