The Play
Your first bet is two units ($10 if you're playing at a $5 table). If you lose, bet $10 again.
Lose again, bet $10.
This continues for four hands. If you fail to start a winning series in four hands, you must leave the table.
Your session is over. You have a hot dealer, or a cold shoe. Either way, don't fight it. Walk!
If you do win that first hand at $10, your series has begun. When the dealer pays you $10, pull back the $10 you started with and an additional $5, which is your profit. You leave $5 on the table as your next bet. If you lose this $5 bet, you have already pulled back the $10 you started with, plus a $5 profit. A loss ends your series and you count your winnings.
You win a hand, lose a hand, and show a profit of $5. That means that while playing the casino to a standstill, you have emerged a winner!
You can sit at a chopping table all day long and be a winner.
Bet $10, win. Pull back $15. Bet $5 and lose. Your profit is $5 for the two hands. One series. Let this continue for seven series and you win seven hands and lose seven hands. Yet, you still show a profit of $35.
If you try betting the minimum and then letting your profit ride each time, after seven series, you will be in the hole $35.
The amount of the first bet is unimportant, just so long as it is higher than the minimum allowed at the table where you are playing. You always need the opportunity to drop down to the minimum.
This scheme of betting almost guarantees you will be a winner for a series.
When will you not win?
Suppose you win the first $10 bet. Now you have $20 in front of you. Draw back your original $10 bet and $5 of the win amount. Leave $5 for the next bet. Even if you lose, you are sure of a $5 profit. Maybe!
What if you are dealt two 7's and the dealer's up card is a 6? What do you do? You split the 7's, naturally. So, you place another $5 chip on the layout to indicate a split.
